Hi! I am a pastry chef and food content creator based in New York City.

Raised just outside of the city, I moved to the bright lights of Manhattan to pursue a career in fashion. After nearly a decade of climbing the corporate ladder in the apparel industry, I realized that feeding my co-workers the sweets I made in my free time and writing emails about them was the best part of each day. I enrolled at the Institute of Culinary Education and became a freelance baker and recipe tester, concentrating on custom orders and projects.

I earned my master's degree in Food Studies focusing on culture and media at New York University and turned my attention to writing about everything in and around the kitchen. I am currently the managing editor at American Cake Decorating magazine, as well as a content creator for Pastry Arts Magazine and sister site Pastry at Home. I also contribute at Forbes Vetted, Kitchn and Apartment Therapy.

I believe food should taste as good as it looks and that there is always room for dessert.
